The grief guilt reality check

For when grief has turned into blaming yourself. Plus a few short scripts for when people ask about the loss and you're not ready to talk.

How it works1. Answer the questions below. A few words is enough. Skip any that are too much right now.2. Copy any script you'd like to use.3. Print or save it if you want to come back to it.Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere.

Part 1: The reality check

Part 2: When people ask and you're not ready

Sometimes the hardest question is one asked kindly. You don't owe anyone the full story.

"I appreciate you checking in. I'm not ready to talk about it yet."
"I'll update everyone when I can."
"It's still really raw, so I'd rather not go into details."
"Thank you for caring. I'm trying not to retell the story right now."
"Could you let the others know for me?"
"I'd love to talk about something else for a bit."
